UUID for control of Bluetooth serial slave

I was able to get the slave to pair with my phone and ran a couple python scripts so I know it “can” send data from arduino.
my problem is trying to use the Android bluetooth hello world also called Bluetooth Chat.
It wont connect to the slave. From my reading this is usually because I have the wrong UUID in the android code.

Do you know what the UUID is of the bluetooth module?

Yan,

I am not sure what the UUID is from device to device, but I have had very good luck with the Android App “Bluterm” it handles communication quite nicely without the need to look up the UUID.
I am not an Android expert, but if you are trying to write an app, I believe the UUID for the Serial Port is 0x1101. Let me know what you find, I would love to add the details to the wiki.

I have worked with this quite a bit.  I don’t know if this will solve your problem but just use this UUID, pretty much the default in every Android bluetooth app I have ever seen.

(“00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB”)

 UUID MY_UUID = UUID.fromString);
